W. Kevin Romer was born September 9, 1957 near Chicago, Illinois and was baptized in the RLDS Church September 3, 1966. His parents are Elder Bruce E. Romer (deceased) and Dorothy L. Romer (deceased). He is a third generation member of the Church, with his grandfather Elder Orrin Romer (deceased) being a convert to the RLDS Church in the 1920s. In 1977 Kevin married Lois S. F. Seiple, who he met at Graceland. They have two children, Annie and Andrew, both currently attending Park University in Parkville, Missouri. Brother Romer attended both Graceland College and Park College, graduating Cum Laude from Park in June 1980 with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. During his 23-year career in the Property and Casualty Insurance field, he has held various management positions. The last five years he has been Vice President of Claims for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company. He currently is responsible for their Property Claims Division. Brother Romer was ordained a Priest in 1981, an Elder in 1994, a High Priest in 2003, and Presiding Bishop in 2004. He has served in the Church as Youth Leader and Bishop’s agent. After years of holding fast to the Rod of Iron during the Dark and Cloudy years, he and his family affiliated with the Remnant Church in April 2002 with a strong personal testimony of the Lord’s Hand in the renewal of His Church.
