From the earliest recollections of man, philosophers have contemplated the meaning of life and death. The greatest thinkers have developed theories ranging from 'I think, therefore I am.' to 'Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die.' Man has always questioned the unknown, and certainly life, and death, are primary in our minds as unknowns. The greatest of all philosophers who could speak with knowledge regarding life, and death, was Jesus the Christ.
His words to us, the words of His prophets, and His teachings to His disciples and followers, as recorded in the scriptures, are the text book of authority... The worlds largest selling book, the Bible, provides insight into this area. I can think of no better source of information, or any higher authority than one who has experienced both. Life with meaning, and death with purpose.
The accumulated accounts of scripture regarding life and death and life again, actually, are presented in this picture.
